Annika Taylor – top-ranked women’s Nordic skier

Annika Taylor (Truckee, Calif.) of the University of New Hampshire ski team finished the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association carnival season as the top-ranked women’s Nordic skier for 2015.


Taylor, who was the East’s top-ranked freestyle competitor and No. 2-ranked classical skier, registered five victories, four second-place finishes and one third-place result among the 10 races in which she competed for a Best 2+2 Combined total of 400 points. The senior co-captain posted 10K classic wins at the Vermont Carnival and the EISA Championships/St. Lawrence Carnival to go along with freestyle triumphs at the Middlebury Carnival (5K), Dartmouth Carnival (10K) and UVM Carnival (5K). She was named the EISA Nordic Skier of the Week on Jan. 29 after sweeping both races at the Trapp Family Lodge.
